Abstract: 

There has been a considerable improvement in solar air heater, especially in flat plate of solar air heater. Flat plate type of solar air heater has a simple design, fabrication and generates air temperature up to 600 C. In this project report, comparison of thermal collector efficiency of two types of solar air heater is done. The first type of solar air heater has an empty housing, the second type of solar air heater has partitions fixed equidistant in the flat plate housing. The entire housing and partitions are coated black. Adequate thermal insulation is given to improve the thermal insulation of the solar air heater. In the report, the thermal collector efficiency for each setup is calculated individually for each day and compared.
