This study was conducted to assess the pattern of mobile phone usage pattern, level of addiction and to evaluate the self perceived academic performance among dental and engineering students. Experimental Approach: The present cross-sectional study carried out at Dental and Engineering college of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh among 710 engineering and dental students by using a pre-tested questionnaire containing 32 questions. The data collected were analyzed using independent sample t-test at p≤0.05. Findings and Discussion: Among dental students 288 were moderately addicted and among engineering students 317 were moderately addicted. Engineering students are more likely to be addicted to mobile phone than dental students.
