Rail infrastructure plays an important role in the development of economic activities and also makes it possible to connect the territories. Territorial development will require more and more rail infrastructure projects. There is no need to prove that rail is the most environmentally friendly means of transport Building Information Modeling BIM allows to design, plan, track and save projects throughout the construction process. Its application to the railway sector is booming. This paper aims to review the literature concerning the integration of BIM into railway projects and the enhancement of the benefits of this integration. This paper will also be used to explore future directions for integrating BIM into railway projects to optimize collaboration and project planning.
