Abstract: 

The interest of the research on body image perception studies in young female university students is to identify the types of risks that may arise, but also to assess self-perception through the use of anatomical models to present the relationship that exists between Real and perceived body image. The sample included female students of the Bachelor of Physical Culture and Sports in Acapulco Gro, with an average weight of 55.6 kg., An average size of 1.64 meters. and an average BMI of 20.8, who were given a body image test and a general questionnaire on body perception; the results showed that more than 70% of the population perceives themselves as fatter than they really are, slightly more than 50% have general body dissatisfaction, 83% of the students perceive their size incorrectly on the other hand, the 97% of female students have a different perception of what their actual weight is. There was also the presence of underweight and overweight students. The results of this investigation show that all the students of the Lic. In Physical Culture and Sport present at least five of the six risk factors that the Body Image Test evaluates.
