Abstract: 

The short story Geolang Mel (Open Session) is a part of the book Mr. Hybrid Gwlwmdwi arw Mwdwi by J.D. Basumatary. The book has been published in February 2005. There are thirty short stories in this book. The book is mainly based on the political scenario of Bodoland Movement. In this short story, we can find that after achieving Bodoland, different communities living in Bodol and are demanding for the promotion and protection of their rights like preservation of language, culture, identity and so on. It has also been discussed that whether people are really satisfied with Bodoland or not. It has also been discussed that people from different communities are willing to live together in Bodoland. So, we can find that political scenario is reflected in the short story Geolang Mel.
