Soil Radioactivity In The Some Petroleum Exploration Fields Of Mongolia

This work was focused on determination of specific radioactivity of ²³⁸U, ²³²Th, ⁴⁰K and ¹³⁷Cs in soil samples, effective equivalent dose and radiation background in around some petroleum exploration fields of Matad town and Tamtsag basin of Dornod province and Zuunbayan town of Dornogovi province. We have determined dose rate and specific radioactivity of natural and artificial radioactive isotopes around petroleum exploration fields by using the HP-Ge gamma[1]spectrometer. The results were compared with the world mean value.
