Abstract: 

Trimanganese tetraoxide (Mn3O4) nanoparticles have been synthesized via simple Microwave Assisted solution method. The structural investigation was carried out using powder X -ray diffraction. It showed that the Mn3O4 nanoparticles present in tetragonal hausmannite structure and their grain sizes were estimated from Particle size analyser, XRD and High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy images. The size of the Mn3O4 nanoparticles is around 20 - 24 nm. The Mn3O4 nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Particle size analyzer, HRTEM, FTIR and SEM studies.
