Preparedness Programme In Disaster Management: A Structural Model

Natural disaster is one of the single largest concerns for the present civilization. Vulnerability of a land or country to natural disaster is perceived based on geo-climatic and socio-economic conditions along with bad development practices. The natural disasters are often leading to loss of lives and adversely affect economies, agriculture, water, sanitation, environment and health. Overcoming from such frequently occurring distress has become a challenge before human being and hence comes the issue of disaster management.

In-Vivo Dermal Irritation Study Of Novel Semi-Permanent Hair Colour Shampoo

Study performed to evaluate the dermal irritation potential of newly developed semi- permanent hair colour shampoo as per the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Guidelines. It was observed that no clinical signs of toxicity and mortalities noticed during the study. In initial test and confirmatory tests, there was no evidence of dermal irritation. Semi-permanent hair colorant can be classified as “Non-Irritant”

Phytochemical Analysis Of The Leaves Of Morus Alba L

Mulberry (Morus alba) belongs to family Moraceae is a perennial tree. It is used as a traditional medicine and modern drug preparation, mainly constitutes diet for the silk worm. The preliminary phytochemcial screening of three extracts (ethanolic, and aqueous) of mulberry leaves revealed that it contains alkaloids, phenols, quinones, phlobatannins, cardiac glycosides, carotenoids, reducing sugars and volatile oils etc. which give the medicines several healing properties.

Modelling The Tuberculosis Epidemic Population Using Bayesian Techniques

In the present paper Poisson distribution of the tuberculosis population has been calculated and along with this expression has been obtained for the tuberculosis individuals as their average number. For obtaining such estimates the conventional method that has been used so far is Maximum Likelihood Principle but the problem that has been associated with this conventional principle is that this method any prior information that is available about the parameters of the study has not been taken into account by this method.

Development Of A Combined Technology (Sorting/Composting/Soft Pyrolysis - Scp) For The Recovery Of Municipal Solid Waste With Zero Waste Disposal In Lebanon And Developing Countries

This paper aims to develop an alternative complete technology and to assess its potential to manage municipal solid waste (MSW) properly to reach the state of zero waste disposals in Lebanon and developing countries. Meanwhile, Lebanon continues to face serious MSW management challenges associated with urbanization and the absence of a reliable policy plan.

Utilization Of Fly Ash: Synthesis, Spectral, Thermal Studies Of Pani-Fa Matrix Composites

Among the electrically conducting polymers, polyaniline (PANI) has attracted more interest due to its advantages over the others, such as easy synthesis, low cost, good processability, high environment stability, and reversible control of electrical properties by both charge-transfer doping and protonation. In India, about 75% of the electricity is generated by coal-based thermal power plants that produce 6.5×107 tons per year of fly ash as a by-product.

Seismic Analysis Of Reactor Building Of A Nppbased On Asce 4-98 And Rcc-G Method

This paper describes the seismic analysis of reactor building of a Nuclear Power Plant including the soil structure interaction analysis for uniform soil. The soil stiffness of the soil below foundation has been computed from two standards ASCE 4-98 and RCC-G and comparison is made. Simplified lumped mass stick model for time history analysis of reactor containment building along with internal structures is made in SAP2000 advanced V 11.0.2. The time history of Kashmir Earthquake on October 8, 2005 is used as input motion.
