Obesity can be encountered with other diseases namely certain metabolic disorders, and endocrine disorders. Obesity is defined as an excess adipose tissue. Accurate quantification of body fat requires sophisticated techniques not usually available in clinical practice. Physical examination is usually sufficient to detect excess body fat.
