In the present work an attempt has been made to assess the variations in physico-chemical parameters of Erra cheruvu lake, located in Siddipet district of Telangana State. The physicchemical characteristics were studied and analyzed for a period of one year that is from April 2016- March 2017. The important parameters taken into consideration were Air Temperature, water Temperature, pH, Carbonates, Bicarbonates, Dissolved Oxygen, Organic matter, Total hardness, Calcium, Magnesium, Nitrates, Nitrites, Phosphates, Sulphates and Silicates. Physico-chemical parameters were analyzed at monthly intervals and results obtained were incorporated as per standard methods of APHA (2005). The present experimental work was conducted to assess the tropic status of the lake. The results obtained showed seasonal variations and fluctuations of various physico-chemical parameters throughout the study period.
