The airflow obstruction is usually progressive, not fully reversible and does not change markedly over several months.

least absolute deviation methods using nonlinear with robust regression models

In this paper the research deals with appropriate methods of estimation and the important of using techniques estimating the parameter of nonlinear regression of linear regression with nonlinear regression models using robust methods .The possible of non-normal distribution and infinite variance in particular, has led to development of alternative estimation methods to the least square. Provided that one knows the generating distribution a well established procedure is the method of maximum likelihood, which has several optimal properties.

design and analysis of a nonlinear controller for vehicle active suspension system using sliding mode control

One of the roots of vehicle vibrations and shakes is the road roughness. Shocks due to bumps on the road are transferred to the vehicle body through the wheels and not only make discomfort for passengers but also reduce the quality of driving. In this paper, a vehicle suspension system will be designed. Then its performance will be shown through analysis and simulation. The main idea is based on the combination of a nonlinear energy sink and a skyhook.

a retrospective study of readmission in acute traumatic spinal cord injury patients

Spinal cord injury (SCI) results not only in a devastating change to a person's physical functioning and independence, but predisposes the individual to various secondary medical complications throughout life, which may interfere with health and well-being, social activity, productive employment and quality of life. After the primary treatment and discharge the patient needs to be readmitted for these secondary medical complications. The high costs associated with rehospitalisation after SCI is a matter of concern and should be highlighted.
