The study was carried out in National Capital Region (NCR), Rohtak District of Haryana state to assess the impact of soil desurfacing/surface mining due to brick kiln activity on Sulphur status of soil. Study revealed that the sulphur concentration invariably decreased significantly in desurfaced soil of the study area (Rohtak District) in the order of 88.15% in Meham block/zone, 85.11% in Lakhan Majra block/zone, 89.29% in Rohtak block/zone, 78.40% in Sampla block/zone, and 70.19 % in Kalanaur block/zone, respectively, as compared to normal soil.

common bile duct reconstruction by a great saphenous vein graft- case report

Introduction: The purpose of the report is to present a new, uncommon procedure for common bile duct reconstruction. Presentation of the case: The great saphenous vein was used for reconstruction as a venous graft. Also, we made a review of the available literature and found only a few similar case reports and several experimental studies on animals. Discussion: The reconstruction of the common bile duct had been rarely used. There are complications and benefits described. Making a reconstruction in this way often requires using an intraluminal stent.

gel card technique- a new method of cross-matching of blood

Crossmatching of blood is routinely done using tube method. This method involves washing steps and takes 90 min (1&1/2 hour). The gel card method introduced by Lappiere et.al is used for crossmatching of blood along with conventional tube method. In gel card method washing steps are not required and the time taken is only 30 min. A comparative study of conventional tube method vs gel card method is performed in 131 cases. The sensitivity and specificity are 100% in both the methods. The advantages and disadvantages of the methods are discussed

jatropha and karanja bio-dieselperformanceona diesel engine

The bio-diesel was produced from non-edible oils by using bio-diesel processor and the diesel engine performance for water lifting was tested on bio-diesel and bio-diesel blended with diesel. The newly developed bio-diesel processor was capable of preparing the oil esters sufficient in quantity for running the commonly used farm engines. The fuel properties of bio-diesel such as kinematic viscosity and specific gravity were found within limited of BIS standard.

auto world-automatic transportation system

Auto world is an automatic transportation system that involves developing technology for autonomous cars, mainly electric cars. This can be very useful in commercial, educational and industrial areas. The idea of the system is based on Google car. The main aim of the proposed system is based on Google car. The main aim of the proposed system is the easy transportation of the employees in an industrial zone. This would help the employees to reach the destination without confusion and thus save time.

effects of planting size and initial stocking density on growth and survival of cultured carpet shell clam (ruditapes decussatus l., 1758) in the akarit estuary (gulf of gabes, tunisia)

The present study aimed to assess the effect of initial planting size classes (Experiment 1; 22, 24, 26 and 28mm) and initial stocking density (Experiment 2; 200, 300, 400 and 500 specimens/m²) on growth performance and survival rate of clam Ruditapes decussatus. Simultaneously two field experiments were conducted in the intertidal zone of Akarit (gulf of Gabès) over 31 months. Selected natural clam were sown in hard plastic net bag (0.5m2) and buried into the soft bottom sediment.

primary tuberculosis of parotid gland-case report and clinicopathological analysis

In an endemic country like India tuberculosis is a common clinical entity. It can affect almost any organ of our body. For sites like a parotid gland, a rare site of extrapulmonary tuberculosis one would consider the possibility of abscess and not tuberculosis as its occurrence in the parotid region is extremely rare. It becomes even more unlikely to consider tuberculosis if repeated investigations turn out to benegative. A 44-year-old male patient from Mumbai, came with complain of right side parotid swelling with discharging sinuses since 5 months.
