Peripheral Precocious Puberty In Children: The Role Of Radiologic Imaging

Puberty is a process leading to physical and sexual maturation. The diagnosis is made with the help of careful history and physical examination in conjunction with the use of appropriate radiological and hormonal evaluation. To evaluate the role of radiological imaging in determining the etiology a retrospective review of patients with peripheral precocious puberty were reviewed. Nineteen patients were diagnosed to have peripheral precocious puberty.

Quality Of Life Following Ayurvedic Para Surgicaltreatment (Ksharasutra) For Recurrent Fistula-In-Ano

Background The management of fistula-in-ano remains a major surgical challenge and carries a significant morbidity affecting the quality of life (QOL) due to the disease and repeated operations but Ayurvedic para surgical treatment (ksharasutra) is considered as a safe in the side effect of surgery concern and least recurrences.

Use Of Mosquito Repellent Devices- Problems And Prospects

Mosquito repellents are substances that are designed to make surfaces unpleasant or unattractive to mosquitoes. They typically contain an active ingredient that repels mosquitos as well as secondary ingredients, which aid in delivery and cosmetic appeal. They are available in many forms, from creams to lotions to oils, but are most often sold as aerosol products. Traditionally, various types of substances have been used to repel mosquitoes. These include such things as smoke, plant extracts, oils, tars, and muds.

Association Of Ischemia Modified Albumin With Glycaemic Status In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Ischemic modified albumin (IMA) has been shown to be a rapidly rising and sensitive biochemical marker especially for the diagnosis of myocardial ischemia. Data exists showing that IMA is also elevated in patients with diabetes mellitus and many other diseases. In view of the possible association between ischemic modified albumin and type 2 diabetes, the present study was taken up to assess the correlation between IMA and glycaemic status in type 2 diabetes mellitus. A total of 90 subjects(45 diabetes subjects and 45 age and sex matched controls) were included.

Foliar Anatomical Diversity In Some Acanthaceae

Anatomical observations are extended for 12 species belonging to 06 genera of the Acanthaceae. Leaves are generally dorsiventral. The variations with respect to vascular tissue, occurrence and development of collenchyma, sclerenchyma, palisade and spongy tissues, cell inclusions, etc. are revealed. The leaves are fundamentally similar but vary taxon to taxon and hence appear taxonomically significant.

The Function And Relation Of Proton And Neutron

In this paper, we proposed the smallest particles of the composition of the earth, the role of hydrogen atoms, according to the gravitational wave theorem, the variable field theorem and mathematical modeling analysis. The roles and relations of protons and neutrons are elucidated. The linear arrangement of the protons and neutrons in the normal state causes the protons and neutrons to store energy and convert to another kind of energy, even without a loop in the gravitational wave fields.

Computed Tomographic Imaging Of Renal Masses-A Prospective Study

Objective: With use of HELICAL CT to compare the enhancement of renal neoplasm and renal cortex and to evaluate the enhancement of renal veins and inferior vena cava during corticomedullary and nephrographic phase.

Conclusion

• Renal neoplasm showed greater enhancement in the nephrogenic phase compared with that in corticomedullary phase.

• Renal cortex also showed greater enhancement in the nephrogenic phase compared with that in corticomedullary phase

How Accurate Is Mri In Characterization Of Primary Bone Tumors – A Prospective Evaluat

The purpose of this study is to determine Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) characteristics of different primary bone tumors and to evaluate the role of MRI in prediction of malignancy and delineation of anatomic extent of primary bone tumors. Fifty three patients either suspected or proven cases of bone tumors were first evaluated with radiograph, followed by MRI examination. In our study of 53 cases, MRI detected marrow involvement, soft tissue involvement (37%), joint involvement (23%) and cortical break (45%), thus helped in staging and management.

Primary Immune Trhombocytopenia In Adults: Updated Review On Diagnosis And Treatment

Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an auto-immune disorder resulting in the premature destruction of platelets, and in a defect in their production; this process is characterized by isolated thrombocytopenia, defined as a peripheral blood platelet count below 100 x 109 /dL without an apparent cause. It is estimated that the annual ITP incidence in adults is similar for both sexes, representing 2 to 4 cases per 100,000 people approximately, however, there is a higher incidence in women among young patients.
