Association of Helicobacter pylori in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma – A Retrospective Study Using Polymerase Chain Reaction

Background: Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) is the predominant malignancy of the oral cavity, frequently associated with habits such as tobacco and alcohol usage. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), a known gastric pathogen, has been hypothesized to play a role in OSCC pathogenesis. Aim: To evaluate the association of H. pylori in OSCC using Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections.

Role of Joint Structure and Movement in Injury Prevention

Joints are fundamental components of the human musculoskeletal system, enabling movement and providing stability. Their structural design and functional capacity play a crucial role in preventing injuries, especially during physical activities and sports. This paper examines the relationship between joint structure, movement mechanics, and injury prevention. It highlights how proper joint alignment, mobility, and neuromuscular coordination reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.

Preliminary Phytochemical studies of Terminalia arjuna bark extract via Soxhlet and Cold Maceration

The study investigates the phytochemical profile of Terminalia arjuna bark (Commercially available powder) extracts prepared using two extraction methodssuch as Soxhlet extraction and cold macerationwith solvents of varying polarity (ethanol, methanol, ethyl acetate, hexane, and aqueous). Preliminary phytochemical screening was conducted to detect bioactive compounds. The results demonstrated that Soxhlet extraction enabled a wider recovery of phyto-constituents compared to cold maceration.
